How to Measure Your Head for a Hat

  1. Use a flexible tape measure or a string.
  2. Measure around your head about 1/8 inch above your ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head.
  3. If using a string, mark where the end meets and then measure the length with a ruler.
